Graduate Institute of Color and Illumination Technology
The Graduate Institute of Color and Illumination Technology is an international leader in research and teaching, focusing on multidisciplinary areas such as color science, lighting technology, imaging science, visual optics, electronic engineering and psychophysics. These integrated technologies drive breakthroughs in emerging industries. Alumni play key roles at Apple, Meta, and Google.
Academic Research
I conducted research in the field of psychophysics, utilizing mathematical models to quantify how physical stimuli (specifically visual imagery) impact psychological perceptions. This interdisciplinary field combines psychology and physics to study the relationship between physical stimuli and sensory experiences.
As part of my research, I designed and conducted human factors experiments involving over 100 participants. I used MATLAB to manage and orchestrate at least five different experimental setups, design, data acquisition, and analysis.
I contributed two oral papers and delivered one presentation research findings at the 13th AIC (International Colour Association) conference. This study investigates color harmony principles in fashion for online shopping using psychophysical methods.
Academic Community
I served as a teaching assistant for psychophysics, supporting over 40 international students. This experience enhanced my ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse students.
My studies covered topics such as image processing, transparent displays, AR/VR, 3D reconstruction, digital archive technology, and applications of color theories to imaging and lighting industries. This breadth of knowledge provided me with a strong foundation in imaging science, color science, and their practical applications.
